Hortotherapy and Gardening for the Elderly

Senior Hortotherapy

A survey conducted by Texas State University, USA, proved that elderly people who practice the Hortotherapy have greater life satisfaction, energy levels and overall health. In addition, the elderly who volunteered for the test had a healthier diet, which may be linked to the fact that they grow foods such as vegetables, fruits and vegetables.

Hortotherapy for Seniors is an excellent occupational therapy for the elderly and can help prevent some illnesses such as depression. In addition, this activity also helps to combat sedentary lifestyle and reduce back pain.

Who is dedicated to this task can notice improvements during walking and body aches. Above all, hortotherapy also provides great personal satisfaction, improving mood and self-esteem.
